Evo winch delivery for Royal Air Force

A new two-drum Skylaunch Evo glider winch was manufactured and delivered to the Royal Air Force (RAF) Gliding and Soaring Association at RAF Cranwell in England. While there, we did a day of training on the new winch to ensure a comfortable and safe transition.

This new winch uses synthetic Skyneema cables, which optimises safety, launch heights and is more cost effective than steel cables. This winch will complement their original 25-year-old Skylaunch 2 model.
